Who can turn on warnings for my machine?

Only administrators can change warning settings. In the machine configuration, open PDA Assist and turn on Warnings before setting delays, severity, and sound. Follow Configure a Machine.

What should I do when a warning appears on the terminal?

Select View all warnings and read the affected order and issue. Check the machine, then use the available action to select or end an order, set a downtime reason, or refresh the view. Live data is stale means other warnings may be unreliable. Follow Respond to an Assistant Warning.

How do I stop the alarm sound, and why is it sometimes silent?

Select Mute to silence sound on your device or Enable sound to turn it on. The browser needs a tap on the page first. Info is always silent; other sounds depend on administrator settings and may be limited to active shifts. See PDA Assist sound.

Why does a warning come back after I snooze it?

Snoozing hides and silences a warning only for the configured duration. It stays listed under Snoozed and returns if the cause remains. Resume now restores it sooner. Follow the operator workflow.

Will copying warning settings include my unsaved changes?

Yes. Copy to other machines… copies both interval assistance and warnings from the settings shown on the page, including unsaved changes. It replaces the selected machines’ PDA Assist settings and leaves their other settings unchanged. Review the confirmation and result counts. See Machine Configuration.

Does choosing an Automator template start sending alerts?

No. A template only prefills the rule. Administrators must review its prerequisites, machines, recipients, thresholds, and schedule, then save it. A switched-off rule stays saved but does not run. Follow Create an Automator Rule.

Why is there an Automator alert but no email?

Without email recipients, the alert appears in Events but nobody receives an email. Escalation also needs selected escalation recipients to notify anyone when an alert is not handled in time. Review the recipients in Review → Your settings. See Automator.

Why do setup and scrap values stay the same and then jump?

These values update when an operator records a PDA entry. Setup compares cumulative preparation with planned time; scrap uses the current job’s PDA production entries. A sensor alone does not update entered scrap. See Automator measures.

Why did my alert stop working after I switched to active shifts?

Some alert conditions do not fire for machines with active shifts. When creating or editing the rule, check the notice: it can say that the alert never fires for these machines or show how many selected machines will be skipped. Review the rule before relying on it. See Alert Rules.

Why does my rule never trigger for a work center?

Work centers have no AVA. Rules using machine or sensor measurements never trigger for them. Work center: never triggers identifies this limit in Alert Rules; Automator warnings name the affected measurements and work centers. Review the conditions and destinations before relying on the rule. See Alert Rules and Automator.

Can I get an alert before an order misses delivery?

Yes. An administrator can create an Automator rule with Forecaster → Delivery Date at Risk greater than 0. Choose email recipients before saving. Open the resulting event and use Show in Gantt to inspect the delay. Follow Create an Automator Rule.

Why can I not combine a delay warning with my machine conditions?

Schedule conditions must stay in a separate rule from machine or order conditions. Their active-shift restriction is also unused. Create a separate Forecaster rule and review its recipients and timing. See Automator.

Why does my interval end on its own?

An administrator has enabled Auto-end forgotten intervals. It ends production after the configured off or idle period, even when nobody has the PDA page open. The recorded end moves to the last production time, or the stop time if nothing was produced. Quantities still need booking. See automatic ending settings.

How do I stop the assistant from ending my interval?

Ask an administrator to turn off Auto-end forgotten intervals under Machine Settings → PDA Assist, then select Save. Muting or snoozing a warning does not stop it. See Configure a Machine.

The assistant chose the wrong time. How do I change it?

After an automatic adjustment, select Undo to restore the time you pressed, or Change… to choose another offered time. Expand Other times for earlier choices. In the initial choice dialog you can keep the pressed time. Follow Run Data Acquisition.

Why does the assistant ask about some times but apply others itself?

A single suitable time within the automatic limit can apply immediately. With several times, the machine settings decide whether to ask or choose automatically. Times beyond that limit always require your choice, up to the asking limit. See how changes are applied.

Can the assistant correct preparation times too?

Yes. Preparation can start from the previous interval’s end, when production stopped, or when the machine was switched on, depending on the allowed options. Its end can move to the first production after preparation began. Automatic ending after off or idle time never ends preparation. See PDA Assist settings.

How can I correct intervals from previous days?

Open a day with intervals on the machine detail page and select Improve intervals. Review up to 60 days, compare Now and After, then apply the changes you choose. Anyone with machine access can do this for one machine; only administrators can review several or use Apply best everywhere. Follow Review and Improve Intervals.

Why are some interval suggestions not selected?

Overlaps may be valid parallel work, and times beyond the automatic limit need your decision. Both start unticked and stay out of Apply best everywhere. Production without an order is information only. See Improve intervals.

Why did order times change before the report did?

Applying interval corrections updates order times immediately. OEE and reports pick up the change at their next calculation. Merely finding suggestions changes nothing. See Review and Improve Intervals.

Does Reset to defaults switch the assistant off?

No. It resets the chosen section’s options and keeps that section’s on/off switch. The reset is not saved until you select Save. Check interval assistance and warnings separately. See Machine Configuration.

Where can I open settings for this machine?

Administrators can use the Machine Settings gear beside refresh in the machine detail header. It opens in the same tab; browser Back returns to the machine. Other roles do not see this button. Follow Configure a Machine.

What does the green or amber dot beside PDA Assist mean?

The dot is amber only while automatic ending counts down; otherwise it is green. Tap PDA Assist at the right edge to see what is enabled, the remaining time, and the last correction when available. A brief glow marks a corrected time. The indicator appears only while an assistance option or warning is on. See Data Acquisition.

How does the assistant choose times, and where can I see an example?

It uses real machine events or the previous interval’s end, with the most recent choices first. It never invents a time at a limit. Earlier choices appear under Other times. Administrators can open Machine Settings → PDA Assist → How changes are applied → How are the times chosen? for six examples and this machine’s limits. See Machine Configuration.

Why does a short gap in machine data not change the suggested start?

Missing data shorter than 10 minutes does not split production into a new stretch. Idle, off, or preparation interruptions shorter than 2 minutes are also ignored. For example, a five-minute data gap during production leaves the earlier production start available. See offered interval times.

Can I change setup corrections without changing production corrections?

Yes. Administrators can choose setup options separately under Machine Settings → PDA Assist → Start time and End time, then select Save. Existing machines keep their previous behaviour until those choices change. The setup choices also guide Improve intervals. Follow Configure a Machine.

Why did options become selected when I turned assistance on?

With no saved options, enabling Interval assist preselects start and end correction. Enabling Warnings preselects three recommended warnings. Review these choices and select Save to keep them. An amber summary means the section is on but no options are enabled. See Machine Configuration.

Can I see how a warning will look before saving it?

Yes. As an administrator, open the information icon beside the warning under PDA Assist → Warnings. When it appears shows its delay; What the operator sees previews its severity and sound choice. It follows unsaved settings. The preview does not flash or play an alarm. Follow Configure a Machine.
