Platform Glossary & Abbreviations
Alphabetical Watchmen definitions and exact English/German screen labels, including OEE, AVL, PRO, PDA/BDE, MA/AA, OP/AG, and KB/WDB.
Find the Label You See on Screen
Each entry keeps English and German interface labels together. Search for the exact caption, such as PRO, AA, AG, WDB, or Vorber. PRO means Performance; AA is Work Scrap; AG is the operation-priority chip; WDB is the Knowledge Base. Definitions link to the page where you can use the concept.
Related references: calculations and roles and access.
0–9 / +
+1day / +1week / +1month / +1Tag
Quick date-shift controls on order and access-key forms; the German forms use Tag, Woche, and Monat.
1v1 / 1 V 1 / Versus
Older names for Versus, the side-by-side machine comparison page.
2FA / OTP
Two-factor authentication and a one-time password: the second sign-in step uses a six-digit email or authenticator code.
A
AA / Work / Arbeits-Ausschuss
Work Scrap: rejected parts caused by processing rather than the material. Kept separate from MA material scrap.
Accessibility patterns
Optional dots for Idle and diagonal lines for Off, making states distinguishable without color alone.
Active Sessions
Devices signed in to your account. Individual sessions can be signed out remotely.
Active shift
An Active shift starts at idle, production, or preparation and ends according to the machine’s duration settings. The assigned shift group is not used. Switching on removes scheduled shifts from today onward but keeps shifts already recorded today. Switching off ends the running active shift immediately and creates scheduled shifts from the group from today.
Waiting for the next active shift and waiting for machine start mean no new active shift has started yet. Planned shifts from the assigned group appear until the machine begins idle, production, or preparation. The machine still uses active shifts.
AG / OP / Arbeitsgang / Operation
An operation is one production activity in a work order. English labels now use “operation” where they previously said “step”, such as Operations of this order. The dashed OP chip (AG in German) shows operation priority; P shows order priority.
AI / KI / Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence (Künstliche Intelligenz), used by the Beta Watchmen AI Assistant.
AI Assistant / Watchmen AI / AI Chats
Beta chat assistant. Documentation only uses platform docs; Context-aware may query data areas enabled by an admin.
Alert Rules
Classic machine alerts using conditions, recipients, and email, SMS, or webhook channels; operators cannot access the page.
All Day / Planned
Analytics scope: a full 24-hour day versus scheduled shift time. Compare the same mode.
API-Access Keys
Keys used by other systems to access the platform; a newly created key is shown only once.
Assignment / Zuweisung
One operation placed on a machine or in a hall pool; intervals record the actual work on it.
Assignment view modes
All Open has no date filter; Time Window + Open selects open work within ±1/3/5/7 days; Time Window + All Statuses includes completed and cancelled work.
Auto-Arrange
Automatically rearranges overlapping future assignments while leaving in-progress work unchanged.
Auto. / Automatically detected
Sensor-detected values, as in Cycles (Auto. / Planned). It does not mean operator-entered quantity.
Automator
Admin-only rule engine with scope, conditions, timing, response, and an event inbox.
AVA
The sensor device attached to a machine. Its full name is not expanded in the interface. A machine without an assigned AVA has no live sensor state or KPIs.
AVA assignment
Connection of an AVA device to a machine. Several devices can be assigned; dragging changes their priority.
Avg. / Ø / Average
Average value. Distinguish the three cycle-time averages and their different denominators.
Avg. Cycle Duration
Total interval duration divided by detected cycles, including pauses and loading.
Avg. Cycle Time (Operator Input)
Production time divided by the quantity entered by the operator.
Avg. Production Cycle Time
Active production time divided by detected cycles.
AVL / Availability / Verfügbarkeit
Share of total recorded machine time in Production. AVL remains AVL in German and appears on gauges, Hall Plan figures, and kiosk bars.
B
Best operation sequence
Best operation sequence in Improve plan searches for fewer late orders, then less total delay, then earlier expected ends. If these tie, order priority favours more urgent orders finishing first without changing their priority; fewer changes decide last. Keep priorities changes no priority. Least delay seeks the best result. Fewest changes limits the searched sequence to at most 3 moves. Recommended marks the suggested option. With Delivery date first, this option is greyed out in Gantt and no search starts. You can still compare the fixed rules.
Back to pool
Back to pool returns unfinished work to the machine’s own hall pool from Data Acquisition V3. It is also the confirmation button in Assignment Planner after you drop a started, stopped card onto a hall pool. Administrators and users with access to the Orders page can choose any hall pool there. Other users can only return work to the pool of its current machine’s hall. Everyone needs access to the step’s current machine. If work has started, its times and good parts stay on the original machine and only the remainder is passed on. Reason (optional) gives the next operator a note.
BDE access templates
BDE access templates are shared settings for selected machines’ Data Acquisition V3 pages. Administrators manage them in the Admin Panel. Each machine uses at most one template. The rules apply to everyone on that BDE page, including administrators, without changing other pages.
- Always shown keeps selected fields visible.
- Always highlighted keeps selected fields highlighted when they are visible.
- Use a fixed sorting and Use a fixed auto-refresh replace personal choices on those machines while keeping them saved.
- Allowed on the BDE page controls which actions you can use. On means allowed. Blocked action buttons and edit icons stay visible but disabled. Locked for this machine (BDE template). explains the restriction on hover or tap. A blocked status stays visible but opens no menu.
- Set by the template marks a locked choice. Sorting is set by the template marks sorting you can review but cannot change on the BDE page.
BDE / PDA / Betriebsdatenerfassung / Production Data Acquisition
English PDA and German BDE refer to the same operator screen for starting work and booking quantities. PDA Entry is BDE-Eintrag; PDA Assist is BDE Assist.
Booked time
Booked time splits a step’s recorded work into Preparation and Production. Compare it with Machine states to see what the machine did during that work.
C
Can move / Place
Clear Can move to keep an existing operation at its exact queue place in a proposal. Pool operations use Place instead: clearing it leaves the operation in the pool. Fixed-rule choices in Improve plan do not offer Can move.
Card Display Settings / Columns / Highlight
Per-user choices of card fields and highlights. They change the display, not the underlying work. On Data Acquisition V3, a machine template can require extra fields and highlights.
CHG / GEÄ / Changed
ERP check badge: an existing record would be updated by the import.
Clear duration
How long an Automator condition must stay normal before an event can clear.
Company Sorting Default
The sorting chosen by an administrator through Save as company default in Assignment Planner. It includes the mode, shared rules, and the Moves choice for where moved orders land. People without their own sorting start with it. Data Acquisition uses the mode and shared rules only. A reset copies the current company choices into your own settings; later company changes do not replace them.
Concurrent order prompt
Confirmation shown when starting an assignment while another is already running.
Condition group
Automator conditions combined with AND or OR; groups may be nested.
Cooldown
Waiting time after an Automator alert before alerting again. Without a cooldown, it can alert again as soon as the condition returns.
CO₂ / Carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide estimate in Organization Statistics, based on optional Sustainability Check inputs.
CSV / XLS / XLSX
Spreadsheet formats accepted by ERP Uploads. CSV and XLSX are also offered for downloads.
Cumulative
Quantity-entry mode using the machine's entire counter reading, not this interval's increment.
Customer / Kunde

Cycle
One sensor-detected machine cycle, such as a stroke, part, or batch. Cycles Per Product defines how many make a finished part.
Cycles found outside the intervals
Detected cycles belonging to no recorded work interval; useful for explaining count differences.
Cycles Per Product / Press per Product / Zyklen / Presshübe pro Produkt
Number of machine cycles needed for one finished part.
D
Distribute to machines
Distribute to machines proposes machines and places for selected hall-pool operations. Existing machine work keeps its relative sequence. The summary compares late orders with leaving the work in the pool. Nothing changes until you apply.
d / ±1d / T / Days
Days in time windows and Due in labels. ±1d means a one-day window in each direction.
Dev. / Deviation / Abweichung
Actual time minus planned time. A negative time deviation means faster than planned.

Focus Mode
Hides surrounding interface to enlarge the analysis.
Forecaster
Shows expected start and finish times from current work, waiting jobs, and planned shifts. It updates by itself about every minute and never changes your plan or delivery dates by itself. Open How does the Forecaster work? for its explanation.
Expected and Planned Times
Expected times show when work is likely to happen, including delays. Planned times show the schedule you set. The delivery date is the customer promise; the planned end is the finish in your plan.
At Risk
at risk (previously tight) is an amber warning. The order is not late yet, but the remaining work barely fits or an earlier step is not planned. The help calls this At risk. Only the name changed; the warning means the same thing.
On Time, Late, and Finish Not Known
- On time: green; expected to finish before the date.
- Late +3 h: red; expected to finish three hours after the date. Late, date passed means the date has passed and the order is unfinished.
- Finish not known: blue; the date is ahead, but no expected finish is available, for example because a step is still in a hall pool.
Missing the delivery date is red. Missing only the planned end is amber.
Times May Be Too Early
Times may be too early (previously Forecast not reliable) warns that an order may finish later than shown. Check for steps without a machine or date. Missing planned durations, missing shift plans, or delayed production entries can also make expected times too early.
Steps on a Machine
The step count tells you how many of the order's steps have a machine. It does not count finished steps. Work without a machine can make the expected finish too early.
Partly Planned and Not Planned at All
Partly planned means some steps still lack an assignment. Not planned at all identifies orders with a delivery date but no operation assigned to a machine or hall pool. They appear on no planning board.
Earlier Operation Not Planned
Earlier operation not planned warns that the displayed times assume the earlier step is already finished. Check earlier steps that have no machine yet or are still in a hall pool before relying on later finishes. Long-held and never-started machine steps still occupy time in the forecast.
Never Started and No Planned Start
Never started and No planned start appear only when Follow planned dates or Delivery date first is selected under View options → Planning in Assignment Gantt. Never started identifies work whose planned start is long past; the forecast assumes it starts as soon as its machine is free. No planned start means the forecast places it after the machine’s dated work. With Follow the queue or Follow the queue, not before the planned date, neither note appears and the operation keeps its place in the queue. Both types of work still get expected times.
On Hold for a Long Time
On hold for a long time (previously On hold too long) means paused work has passed Hold limit (working hours). It remains in the forecast and keeps its queue position, so later work still waits for it. The limit only controls when the note appears. Admins set it under View options → Planning in Assignment Gantt using machine working time, then choose Save.
Based On
Based on lists assumptions behind a step’s expected times, such as a long hold, a missing planned start, or missing earlier work. The same assumptions appear at the warning icon. Read them before relying on the forecast.
Why This Time
Why this time explains what a step waits for: its machine, an earlier step, or the next shift. Earlier operations of this order lists the preceding work and its progress. Hover over a Planner card’s date tab or clock to read these details.
Waits for an Earlier Operation
Waits for an earlier operation means an earlier step is not on a machine yet or remains in a hall pool. The later step still has a forecast, but its times may be too optimistic.
No Forecast
No forecast marks hall-pool work or a forecast that is not available right now. It does not mean that work is finished. Pool work gets a forecast once it is on a machine. Until an expected end exists, the Planner only compares the date with today.
Load and Earliest Availability
Load in Assignment Gantt compares booked working time with visible shift time. The machine summary shows work still booked by the forecast. When work has no expected end, the machine’s displayed free time is only its earliest possible availability.
Save as Plan
Save as plan saves the displayed queue and Watchmen planned-date changes after review. The searched sequence can also change operation priorities as shown. Original operation dates and delivery dates stay unchanged. Undo restores the saved changes.
Jobs in Parallel
Jobs in parallel is how many assignments a machine can run at the same time. Administrators set a whole number from 1 to 100 in machine configuration; the forecast uses this capacity.
G

Good qty. / Gutmenge
Parts produced without defects, separate from material and work scrap.
H
Handed over
Handed over marks the finished part on the original machine when remaining work has been passed on. On an order, the neutral badge identifies handed-over steps. It does not mean that the whole step or order is finished.
Hall / Halle
Production area grouping machines for Hall Plan, planning columns, and Hall Pools.
Hall Plan / Hallenplan / Kiosk
Hall overview that can run unattended with an API key instead of a login; operators cannot access Hall Plan.
Hall Pool
Shared hall queue. An assignment has no specific machine until a machine in that hall claims it from PDA. In Assignment Planner, Hall pools lets you choose the halls and their placement. In the board puts pools beside their machines; Beside the list keeps them beside the unassigned list while machines scroll. Pools do not count toward the 25-machine limit. Collapse pool leaves a narrow strip that still accepts cards; Expand pool shows its cards again.
Hr / Std / Hours
Hours in duration displays. Std Run Time is a different label meaning Standard run time.
I

Minimum shift length / Stop that ends a shift / Maximum shift length
Minimum shift length is how long the machine must work before the first stop ends the shift. Before then, only a stop reaching Stop that ends a shift ends it; shorter stops count as off time within the shift. Maximum shift length starts a new shift even if work continues, at most 24 hours. All values must exceed 0. The minimum and stop length cannot exceed the maximum.
Minimum true duration
Time an Automator condition must remain true before an event is created.
MTTR / Mean Time To Resolution
Automator average time from an event triggering to its resolution.
N
New operations in the queue
The import’s choice of where work enters machine queues and hall pools. Find it in Operation Fields, directly below the Operation Description row. By sorting is preselected and inserts work using the displayed rules without re-sorting existing operations. At the start places work behind running operations; At the end adds it at the back. Placement never changes priorities or dates. Company sorting: appears when the rules match the company sorting. Own sorting: identifies rules chosen for the import that differ from the company’s. Sorting: appears for the standard rules when no company sorting exists.
N/A / k. A. / Not available
A value is unavailable; it is not the same as zero.
Needs Attention / Handlungsbedarf
The former summary for several production and date warnings. On Orders & Products, Forecaster now counts open orders expected to miss delivery or already past their delivery date. Other warnings remain useful when reviewing individual assignments.
NEW / NEU / New

Order Planned dates / Operation Planned dates
Order dates are shared across the order; operation dates belong to one step and can be used to sequence steps.
Order priority / Operation priority
Independent urgency values for the whole order and one production step. The planner shows P for the order and a dashed OP for the operation. Order forms also let you choose the operation priority. Its dashed OP indicator appears beside the operation name; new operations start at 100. When both priority filters are set, work must match both.
Orders today
Orders today shows running and finished work booked today on a machine or work center, across the whole day.
Org Stats / Organization Statistics / Organisationsstatistiken
Admin dashboard for company-wide production, energy, and impact indicators. Live Utilization is a snapshot; Downtime Reduced, Revenue Recovered, and Still reachable describe different recovery and potential figures.
Over Production / Quantity exceeded
Booked quantity exceeds plan. Choose Put on hold or Mark as finished after reviewing the quantities.
Operation at risk
Automator template that combines production 15% behind pace with cycles 25% slower than the baseline. Its conditions are separate from the Forecaster's delivery assessment.
P
Partly done / Done on
Partly done: shows good parts already made and where the rest is waiting. When all parts are finished, Done on lists the machines and their quantities.
P / Order priority
Priority chip for the overall order, independent of the operation's OP or AG priority.
PCS / pcs / Stk. / Pieces / Stück
Produced-piece counts. PCS on Hall Plan and kiosk figures stays unchanged across languages; pcs can appear as Stk. elsewhere.
PDA Assist
PDA Assist (previously PDA Assistant) combines interval assistance and warnings for a machine. Administrators configure them separately. Operators can choose suggested times and review, snooze, or mute warnings.
Right now
Right now in the PDA Assist dialog shows current assistance information. Open it at the right edge of the PDA page. An amber dot means automatic ending is counting down; green means no countdown. A brief glow follows a corrected time.
Setup (preparation)
Setup (preparation) groups the allowed setup times separately from production in PDA Assist. Administrators can change the two groups independently. These options also guide reviews of past intervals.
Other times
Other times lists earlier alternatives to the most recent main choices, newest first. They are real machine events within the asking limit, with up to 20 offered times in total. Times outside the automatic limit require your choice.
Adjusted / Auto-ended / Improved
Adjusted marks a start or end changed by interval assistance. Auto-ended marks a production interval ended after the configured off or idle period; quantities may still need booking. Improved marks a change applied when reviewing past intervals. Open the explanation for the time and reason.
Improve intervals
A check of recorded intervals against machine activity for up to 60 days. It proposes changes and shows their impact before you apply them. Anyone with machine access can review one machine; only administrators can review several and apply the best options everywhere.
Overlaps (warning)
More intervals ran at once than the machine's parallel capacity. Parallel work may be correct. These suggestions start unticked and are excluded from Apply best everywhere.
Peak Optimizer
Admin-only comparison of operators over a period to find top performers and bottlenecks.
Pinned items
Pages, machines, and hall plans pinned to the top of personal navigation.
Planned Start / End / Actual Start / End
Planned dates describe the schedule; actual dates describe recorded work. Grouped order dates span the order; assignment rows have their own windows.
Polling interval
How often an Automator rule is checked.
Prep / Prep. / Vorber. / Vorb. / Preparation / Vorbereitung
Setup before production. Vorber. is used on German PDA buttons; Vorb. (previously Rüst) appears on planning cards. Both describe preparation.
Planned quantity reached
Planned quantity reached asks after Stop when good parts plus all scrap across the operation’s intervals reach or exceed the plan. Complete closes it; Keep on hold leaves it open for later booking. Closing the question also keeps it on hold.
Prep / Start / Stop / Continue
Prep starts preparation and Start starts production. In the quantity dialog, Continue books quantities, ends the running interval and immediately starts a new one. Stop books and ends the interval, then asks about completion when the plan is reached. Cancel closes without booking.
Position in the queue
Position in the queue shows where a waiting step stands in Up next. Running steps have no number.
Priority
An urgency number interpreted using the company’s Which number is more urgent? setting. Higher number = more urgent is the default; Lower number = more urgent reverses it. Administrators choose the direction and levels in Admin Panel → Priority Levels.
PRO / Performance / Leistung
Share of switched-on time used for production or preparation. PRO does not mean Production or produced pieces.
Prod / Prod. / Production / Produktion
Production, distinct from the PRO abbreviation for Performance.
Production time in intervals
Production time in intervals is the production time recorded in a work center’s operation intervals. It is not a sensor measurement. Preparation hours are shown separately when present.
Production without an order
Production without an order is production time during which no interval of an operation was running on the machine. Version 2 counts stretches of at least 5 minutes, using the same rule as Improve intervals, capped at each day’s production time. It appears only if the company recorded at least 5 intervals of real operations in the report period, excluding test orders. Work centers are excluded; a missing section does not mean every production hour was covered by an interval. Test-order intervals still cover machine time even though the orders are excluded from report lists and counts.
A machine’s chart bar and Without order (h) value turn orange at both 20% of its production time and 2 hours. It is also listed under What needs attention and In focus.
Product / Produkt / External Product ID
What is manufactured; External Product ID is the product name.
Product information
Hall Plan setting for showing the active order's product image, product name, and operation sequence (#) next to the machine image. On requires a product image. With Off, or without an image, the sequence appears in the order card. Order and operation priority always stay in the order card.
Products more / less produced than detected
Difference between operator-entered production quantities and sensor-detected cycles.
P{code} / P0–P9 / P1–P9
Priority-code labels in ERP presets, for example P1. Read them in the company's configured priority scheme.
Pulse
Raw machine-sensor signal over time, displayed below the timeline with resolutions of 1 minute, 30 seconds, 5 seconds, or 1 second.
Place in this queue
Place in this queue explains the number at the bottom left of a Planner card. It counts active work in that machine or hall pool. Numbers appear in queue-position mode without priority, operation priority or tag filters, with the usual status selection and no search in that area. Data Acquisition cards do not show them.
Q
Quantity left / Done here / Left
In the handover dialog, Done here counts good parts on the original machine. Left summarizes the remainder. Quantity left starts with planned quantity minus good parts, never below zero. Scrap does not reduce it. Change it for needed replacements or leave it empty if unknown.
Qty / Quantity / Menge
The number of units. Distinguish planned, entered, counted, good, and scrap quantities.
Quality / Qualität
The dashboard tooltip states 95% and directs changes to an admin. Automatic replacement from quantities and the setting location are unconfirmed.
Queue Order and Operation Priority Stay in Step
Queue order and operation priority stay in step is an administrator setting, on by default. In the Planner’s queue-position mode, dragging a step can change its operation priority, and changing its card priority can reposition its parts in accessible queues. Turning it off separates the two actions. Undo in a drag’s priority notice restores priority and keeps the dropped position.
Queue Position / Queue load
Sort by Queue Position shows the saved card sequence. Queue load describes the planned work in that queue. In Assignment Planner, running and on-hold cards keep their queue positions and can be reordered within their column. Data Acquisition V3 has separate choices for where these orders appear.
Put in queue
Put in queue chooses where a reopened operation returns: By company sorting, At the top, or At the bottom. Company sorting uses its saved rules without changing priorities, dates, or the company sorting itself.
R
Re-sort
Re-sort (previously Sort by priority and date) proposes a queue sequence from Sort rules or one priority or date. Under Rules from, My sorting uses your Planner rules; Company standard copies the administrator’s rules when available. Changed marks temporary rules matching neither choice. These edits apply to this re-sort only and do not replace saved sorting. Clear Can move to keep an operation in place. Re-sorting does not change priorities or keep sorting automatically.
Ratio thresholds
Read the selected condition: setup and cycle checks compare time with a plan or baseline; production checks measure a shortfall against pace. Order progress compares completion with the elapsed schedule. The same percentage does not mean the same thing for every measure.
Report version / Version 1 / Version 2
Version 1 is the familiar Excel report. Version 2 starts with findings that need attention and includes targets, shift comparisons, cycles, reasons and orders. Recent weekly and monthly reports also show planned work for the next 7 days; exports do not.
Report version in the export dialog on the Timeline Analysis page applies to that export only. Version 2 beside a period in the archive marks a report in the new version. Rows without it are Version 1. What you get and Download an example help you compare the versions before choosing.
Revision
Revision identifies an updated report in the archive. Its number increases when the report is rebuilt with changed contents. Every scheduled report is checked automatically once, 3 days after it was sent. If the data changed, the report gets a new revision. If nothing changed, it stays as it is. As an Administrator, you can also select Rebuild with current data at any time. For example, Revision 3, updated … shows its revision and update time. The first revision has no revision line. Downloads always contain the latest revision; emails already sent are not sent again. Version 2 beside the period refers to the report layout.
Report archive
Only Administrators can open Report archive. Other users do not see it.
Report archive contains Weekly, Monthly, and Export reports. Scheduled means a scheduled report; By user means someone requested it.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting for creation to start. |
| Building | Being created. |
| Ready | Ready to download. |
| Failed | Creation did not finish successfully. |
| Refreshing | Being checked against current data. |
Rebuild with current data checks an existing report and updates it if the contents changed. Not emailed describes email delivery, not creation status. A failed refresh keeps the previous revision available.
Requires active shift
Automator checks pause while the machine is outside its active shift.
Revenue Recovered / Still reachable
Already recovered value versus remaining modeled potential; the latter includes half the remaining idle time.
Rework Qty
Quantity needing rework; do not assume it is added to the card total without a confirmed rule.
Roadmap
Public Novo AI plan: Ideas, Planned, In progress, Released. Users can upvote items.
running
The active shift is still in progress. Its end follows the machine's active shift settings.
Running and on-hold orders
Running and on-hold orders: Orders in progress or on hold. Example: an order that was started and is on hold for a tool change. In Data Acquisition V3 queue sorting, choose Keep in place or At the top. As a sort rule, this group offers At the top or At the bottom and comes before the waiting-order rule.
Recently completed
Recently completed shows the selected machine’s last five completed operations, newest first. Its cards are read-only, with Set on hold available when reopening is allowed and the part was not handed over.
Reopen completed operations
Reopen completed operations is the template switch for Set on hold in Recently completed. It starts on and works separately from Change the order status.
Reopened
Reopened marks an operation reopened after completion or cancellation. Its explanation shows who reopened it, when, the machine when available, and its queue placement. The badge appears on PDA and Planner cards until the operation is completed or cancelled again.
S
Scrap / Ausschuss
Rejected parts split into material scrap MA and work scrap AA.
Search in
Assignment Planner’s search-area choice: Unassigned searches the unassigned operations list, Hall pools searches pooled work, Machines searches work on machines, and Everything searches all three. Search matches order, product, or customer, not machine names. Your choice is remembered; the default is Unassigned.
Sec / Sek / Seconds
Seconds, the display unit for cycle times.
Sensor powered by machine
Use when the sensor loses power with the machine; a missing signal then appears as Off instead of Unknown.
Seq / Nr. / Sequence / Arbeitsgangfolge
An operation's step number within a work order, for example 10, 20, 30. In Hall Plan, the operation sequence is shown with # beside the product or in the order card, depending on Product information and whether the product has an image. The German name is Arbeitsgangfolge.
Shift / Whole day
A shift is a named work period with start, end, and optional breaks. Whole day covers the entire day.
Shift group / Schichtgruppe
Weekly pattern assigning shifts to weekdays, attached to machines.
Shift Planner / Scheduler / Schichtplaner
Page for assigning shifts and operators to machines by day or week.
Show more cards
Show 40 more, or a smaller remaining number, reveals the next cards in a Planner queue. Each queue initially shows 40 matching cards. Its count and summary include every card in the queue, also the ones not shown yet.
Silence / Unsilence
Temporarily mute or restore one alert type or all alerts for a machine.
SLA / Service Level Agreement
In Automator, the number of minutes responders have before an open event is overdue.
Snooze
Temporarily hide a warning from the banner and silence it for the configured duration. It stays listed under Snoozed and returns if the problem remains. Resume now restores it sooner.
Start Preparation / End Preparation / Start Shift / End Shift
Explicit actions for preparation and shift boundaries; Prep starts a preparation interval, while Start starts production.
Status / Unplanned / Planned / Released / In Progress / Hold / Completed / Cancelled
Order and assignment states: Ungeplant, Geplant, Freigegeben, In Bearbeitung, In Wartestellung, Abgeschlossen, Storniert. Order status follows assignments; Released timing is unconfirmed.
Std Run Time / Standard run time
Planned production time per unit.
Still running
Still running (previously Ongoing) is the same wording on every screen showing a running interval or order: Data Acquisition, Order Management, and Orders & Products. For an interval, it means no end has been recorded. Its end is set when you stop it. The interval editor cannot end it.
Sum / Summ. / Totals
Totals row in order analysis; Avg. or Ø is the averages row.
Sustainability Check
Optional company inputs for the CO₂ estimate, including waste, renewable share, coolant, transport, and material efficiency.
Stays on top
The former Stays on top label has been removed from the Planner’s priority-and-date preview. Running and on-hold work is sorted with all other active work. In queue-position mode, cards follow the dragged order.
T
Tap to change
Tap to change replaces Double-tap to edit in Data Acquisition V3. Tap a start or end time once to open that part of the interval editor.
Templates / Auto-resolve / Notify on resolve / Escalation
Automator presets and responses: close on a cleared condition, notify on closure, or notify another group when overdue.
Timeline / Production / Idle / Off / Stopped / Preparation / Unknown
State bar: Production green (Produktion), Idle orange (Leerlauf), Off/Stopped red (Aus/Gestoppt), Preparation blue (In Vorbereitung), Unknown grey (Unbekannt).
Timeline Analysis / Trend Analysis
Reports examining machine states within a period versus KPI trends across days.
Timeline ranges / Time range / Idletime Distribution
Duration buckets, such as 1–5 or 5–30 minutes, used to count downtime frequency and duration.
Timeline reason / Downtime reason / Stillstandsgrund
A label explaining a downtime period. Administrators maintain shared reasons and choose where operators may select them. Removing a reason from a machine's selection does not remove past labels. Deleting the reason keeps past entries but removes their reason.
In Hall Plan, Downtime reason is a card in V2 and V3 showing the reason the machine operator chose on the PDA page for the current downtime. It appears only while the machine is idle or off, if a reason was chosen and the card is enabled. The previous shift never shows it.
Code / Category
A reason's optional Code, such as F12, is unique within the company and uses uppercase letters. Category groups reasons for selection, for example Mechanical or Material. Chart explanations show both when available.
All reasons (default) / Only selected reasons
All reasons (default) includes every company reason and future additions. Only selected reasons limits operators to a fixed list with at least one reason. Deleting the last selected reason leaves that restricted list empty until an administrator changes it.
Available on machines
The machines where operators can select a reason. Unticking a machine marked All reasons gives it a fixed list of the other current reasons; later additions no longer appear automatically.
Break settings / Label breaks automatically
Break settings lets administrators enable Label breaks automatically for the company. Finished idle or off downtime during a scheduled shift break can receive that break's Downtime reason. No downtime reason skips that break. A person's choice always takes priority.
Label only the break (recommended) / Label the whole downtime
Label only the break (recommended) gives the break's reason only to the overlapping break time and its tolerance. Label the whole downtime gives it to all of an overlapping downtime, which can hide a longer breakdown.
Tolerance
In Break settings, Tolerance adds 0–15 minutes before and after a break when only the break is labelled. It starts at 5 minutes. The downtime must overlap the actual break; touching only the tolerance is not enough.
Timeline rules
Automatic reasons selected by specific reason rule, then its DEFAULT rule, then Global rules, for Off, Idle, or Preparation.
A reason chosen by the machine operator or set by hand takes priority. When automatic break labels are enabled, an eligible break's reason comes next. Downtime reason rules apply to the remaining idle or off time; without a matching reason, the time stays unlabelled.
Total / Planned / Input / Counted
Assignment quantities: planned target, entered quantity, detected count, and total input plus MA plus AA.
Trust this device for next 30 days
Skip the second authentication step on the trusted device for 30 days.
U
Unassigned operation
An operation without a machine, listed in the Assignment Planner's left panel.
Unbound / unlabeled machine time
Machine time between recorded intervals belonging to no order.
Unlabeled timeline warning
Marker for downtime without an assigned reason.
Up next
Up next shows the machine’s queue in execution order so you can see what comes next, regardless of the selected day.
In Version 2 weekly and monthly reports, Up next is the outlook for the 7 days after the report period. It preserves the plan from when the report was first created, even after a rebuild. Exports and older periods omit it. See Report Versions.
util. / Util. / Ausl. / Utilization / Auslastung
Planned load of a machine queue, based on planned durations, not recorded production.
V
View options
In Assignment Gantt, View options → Board contains your own bar and row-height choices. They apply at once. Only Admins can change company settings under View options → Planning and choose Save. Everyone else who can open Gantt sees the values read-only with Ask an admin to change these. A preview is identified by The board is showing a preview: <rule>. with the rule’s name.
W
Work left / Expected end
Work left is planned work minus work already recorded. A dash means it is unknown. In planning proposals, Expected end compares the forecast with today’s sequence against the forecast after applying. Planned ends and delivery dates are separate and appear in Details.
Waiting on a previous operation / Blocked by
⚠️ Waiting on a previous operation means a step with a lower number in the same work order is neither completed nor cancelled. An earlier step without an assignment also counts as unfinished. Start anyway remains available; review the dependency before using it.
In Data Acquisition V3, the Waiting on a previous operation sorting rule offers At the bottom or At the top. It comes before priority and date. If you also add Running and on-hold orders, that rule comes first. With Sort by Queue Position on, Orders waiting on a previous operation offers Keep in place or At the bottom, preserving queue order within each group. Both options are off until you choose them and are saved for your account.
Webhook
Alert delivery to another system by URL, optionally with Basic, Bearer, or custom-header authentication and a payload template.
Wi-Fi / WLAN
Wireless network information for a registered hall display.
WO / Work Order / Arbeitsauftrag
The part of an order for one product, with a planned quantity and operations.
Work center
A Work center is a workplace without an AVA. It shows today’s worked orders and the waiting queue and can receive assignments. It has no sensor KPIs and is excluded from state counters and sensor analytics. Sensor-based rules never trigger for it. Version 2 reports show only work-center operations, from their intervals, under Summary → Work centers and on their own pages. They have no OEE, availability, performance, machine states or cycles anywhere in the report, and are excluded from production without an order.
Worked
Worked shows steps with recorded work on the selected day, even if they started earlier.
